Ghost Town

About the album

When Sam (Frank) and I wrote “Wildflowers,” I loved his production so much I asked him to help me choose a few more of my songs to add to “Wildflowers” for a new EP.  Serendipitously, he was traveling through the US this February and stopped off at my place to record the other five songs we’ve chosen for this package.  They were written over a period of about 4 years and though not intentionally written to be so, this group of songs has a common thread of transformation. Of accepting what’s out of our control, but without resignation … instead rising from the proverbial ashes with perseverance and strength, humor and grace.

From “Troublemaker”, a duet with Rodney Crowell, packed with attitude, to the point blank observations of “Take It Easy”, relationship highs and lows, beginnings, middles and endings are relayed with the honesty and accuracy of someone who’s been there, done that.

Best Regards is just the right mix of wisdom, whimsy and white wine. My advice is to listen in your kitchen. There's a lot of hers in the music.
